Friend Ships Crash in Shallow Water

In thinking about friendships, I am more and more realizing how easy it is to have great friends and shallow friendships. In looking at past friendships, and then analysing them biblically, often I find that the meat of the friendship was little more than fun times, jokes, and conversations. Is that what the Bible describes friendship as?
